Tous les patrons travaillaient dur, enchainant réunion sur réunion. A l’étroit dans ce vieil immeuble du centre de Marseille, ils bénissaient les architectes qui leur avaient créé un petit bout de terrasse balnéaire. Tout en bois, elle leur donnait la vue, l’oxygène et surtout l’illusion qu’une fois la réunion terminée, ils n’y en auraient plus d’autres. Chez les pilotes du port, l’odeur de la mer leurs manquait. Et pourtant le Vieux-Port était là, à deux pas. Le bois serait donc leur madeleine de Proust et fabriquerait leur espace de travail. Entre le bois ? Du blanc, pour respirer. Bref, en sortant du bureau, les patrons étaient nostalgiques de leur terrasse perchée dans le ciel bleu méditerranéen. Et les pilotes, quant à eux, n’avaient plus le mal de terre.

 

All the bosses were working hard, moving from one meeting to the next one. Confined in that old building in the centre of Marseille, they blessed the architects who created for them a little bit of seaside terrace. All made of wood, it gave them the view, oxygen and especially the illusion that once the meeting would be over it would not be followed by any other one. As to the pilots of the port, they were missing the smell of the sea, even though the Vieux Port was two steps away. The wood would be their “Madeleine de Proust“ and their work area. Between the wood? White colour to take breath. Briefly when the bosses left the office they were nostalgic for their perched terrace in the Mediterranean blue sky. As to the pilots they were not earth sick any more.
